The Role

This role is critical to the continuous improvement of the quality assurance function across the Nomia platform. 

This includes defining the QA strategy, implementing test frameworks, leading QA, and co-ordinating developers, as well as ensuring the delivery of high quality, reliable and scalable software products and the evolution of the existing platform with enhanced user experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities

• You’ll lead QA for your specific, clearly defined, product domain (pod)

• Define and own the QA strategy, frameworks and standards, leveraging automation as appropriate

• You will communicate very closely with the pod Product Manager and ensure their briefings (PRDs, personas, user stories, etc.) are thorough, standard, and provide the clarity required by developers

• You will liaise very closely with the Scrum Master in sprint planning and retrospectives

• You’ll ensure quality is embedded at every stage in the development process

• You’ll prepare test scripts (for all scenarios) including regression, functional, integration, performance and security

• Establish automated and manual testing processes

• Define metrics and KPIs to measure and report on product quality and test coverage

• Manage documentation in terms of quality, organization, and versioning

• Manage release readiness by ensuring all test plans are executed and issues are triaged effectively

• Act swiftly and efficiently if UAT readiness is not acceptable

• Ensure testing follows CI/CD pipelines

• Co-ordinate environment readiness (database connections, content, test data) for effective QA coverage

• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding standards, and documentation

• Support forensic analysis and conduct root-cause analysis for production incidents and drive continuous improvements

• Champion a culture of quality across product and engineering teams

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 8+ years experience in QA with at least 2 years in a lead role

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles

• Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman

• Expert skills with collaboration and QA tools such as Confluence, Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, JMeter, Azure Load Testing

• Hands on experience with test automation frameworks and scripting/programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, .NET C#, etc.)

• Experience in API testing, performance testing and AI testing tools

• Excellent teamworking, collaboration, and organisational skills

• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail

• Excellent English-language verbal and written communication skills

• Strong influencer with stakeholder management skills

• Bonus: Experience in SaaS, PaaS, fintech or procurement platforms

• Bonus: Familiarity with Azure cloud infrastructure

• Bonus: ISTQB certification or similar
