The Role

We’re looking for an experienced IT specialist who thrives on solving complex technical challenges while keeping user experience front of mind. 

With advanced knowledge of Azure, Office 365, security policies, and network infrastructure, you’ll play a key role in supporting and shaping our IT environment. 

This is a hands-on, collaborative role where no two days are the same, from acting as a technical escalation point, to working with external partners on security, to ensuring our colleagues have the tools they need to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Using our helpdesk ticketing system, Service Now, to actively take ownership of new tickets, regularly maintaining your ticket queue, and ensuring all requests are logged.
• Highlight areas of repeating problems and/or waste activities to IT Manager
• Act as technical escalation point for IT Technicians.
• Creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation.
• Providing 1st line application support, as well as user setups, access request changes for all Nomia core line of business applications,
• Install, maintain, and support new software applications, hardware, and systems.
• Ensure our internal asset management system is maintained and updated.
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, using Nomia’s network & application monitoring tool
• Support others within the IT Team with larger change related activities.
• Assisting external 3rd parties around vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
• Backup configuration and routinely checking backups
• Network configuration & troubleshooting
• Site firewall configuration & troubleshooting
• Network & application monitoring configuration and routinely checking these systems

Skills & Qualifications

• 8 years IT experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Valued, not mandatory
• Always promote a positive image of the company, behaving in accordance with the company values.
• Professional manner when dealing with both internal and external customers.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage your own time and priorities.
• There may be an element of on call support required for P1 related issues. This would involve being part of a rotating rota with other technicians. The finer details around this are to be confirmed by Nomia, however additional pay would be issued for those acting as on call (5pm-10pm), and where hours are worked, time in lieu during the working week to be offered.
• Strong emphasis on delivering an excellent customer experience, while working under pressure with urgency, with an ability to communicate professionally to all levels of the business.
